Mr. Samoilenkov graduated from the Lomonosov Moscow State University Chemistry Department where he also defended his thesis ‘Thin Epitaxial Films RBa2Cu3O7: chemical vapor deposition, structure and properties’ in 1999.
Between 2000 and 2005 he worked as a researcher with the Institute for Surface Technology and Plasma Treatment (IOPW), the Braunschweig Technical University, Germany. From 2005 until present he has been a researcher with the United Institute for High Temperatures of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Moscow), in 2006 he was appointed SuperOx technical director. His major professional interests include chemical vapor deposition, metal chemical vapor deposition, coordination of chemistry problems, compound oxide and high temperature superconductivity (HTS) research as well as HTS film, thermal-resistant oxides, thermal coating (TC), fiber coating and optical coating development.
Sergey is the author of more than 70 research papers.

2008 – Energy of the Young award of Global Energy Foundation, Moscow.
