First Phase of HTS SFCL on Mnevniki Substation of the United Energy Company

The first phase of the superconducting fault current limiting device was delivered to the Mnevniki substation of United Energy Company. The device has successfully passed all acceptance tests and is sent to the installation. The first three-phase device HTS SFCL 220 kV made by SuperOx will be installed at the Moscow substation "Mnevniki" in December 2018. "The main function of the device is an almost instantaneous limitation of fault currents and a reduction of the load to other elements of the system," said Andrey Mayorov, General Director of the United Energy Company.
