First domestic producer of the High Temperature Superconductor "SuperOx" has presented its 2G HTS tape 1 km long during "Open Innovations 2014" Forum and a model of the fault current limiters.
Compactness, safety, higher capacity with a reduction of the size of the devices are undoubtedly important competitive advantages in such metropolises as Moscow.
"Open Innovations" forum is one of the largest communication platforms in which took part our representatives of the company. "SuperOx" demonstrated the possibilities of the superconductivity at the stand of the Department of Science, Industrial Policy and Entrepreneurship of Moscow.
At the exhibition, the representatives of science and business could learn more information about new start-up projects, products and technological capabilities. Sharing of the experiences and discussion of the project development with the representatives of city government and political power organized in the form of plenary sessions and round tables, and in which participated Sergey Samoilenkov, the Director-General of "SuperOx".
Throughout open days of the Forum, our employees represented a unique material with record high current density - HTS wire of the 2nd generation, and shared with the guests of the forum the unique perspectives that could be achieve with the use of superconductors.
Basing on the 2G HTS tapes it is possible to produce unique and superior qualities of power cables, fault current limiters, transformers, motors, generators, energy storage systems and magnets.

SuperOx Company founded in 2006 at the initiative of Vavilov A.P. with a goal to establish production of textured high-temperature superconductor coatings on metal substrates – second-generation high temperature superconducting tapes (2G HTS).
The team SuperOx are leading young professionals most of whom are graduates of the Lomonosov Moscow State University. The company’s intellectual property is made of more than the 20-year experience in deposition of complex oxide coatings and studying properties of HTS materials. The company’s staff has published over 100 articles in the leading science journals in the field of HTS materials, acquired number of patents and registered more than 20 know how.
